USA Men's 7s Head Coach Matt Hawkins may have a bit of a light day on Thursday, Jan 23 in Las Vegas, but that doesn't mean he won't be on the job.
With the Eagles, and all the other teams getting set for the USA 7s the next day, and thus having a captain's run, but little else, on Thursday, Hawkins has some free time, and he is putting it to good use.
Hawkins will be on the sidelines at the Las Vegas Invitational, watching the Men's Elite 7s, which includes several top-level development teams.
"I will be there all day Thursday," Hawkins told RUGBYMag.com. "I will be there to watch those players. It's an excellent opportunity to see them."
Several USA players have cut their international teeth at the Men's Elite 7s at the LVI, and it's highly likely that Hawkins will see a future Eagle at Star Nursery on that Thursday.
